Presents – April 4, 2022

What to do with all these Presents?

Wow, that was a busy week. I always tell my clients to text or email me, because when they invariably call, I’m in the middle of something else–generally speaking to another client. However, when I am sitting and doing paperwork, never receive a call. Same thing happens with projects at KB Presents. Once things get started, we get a ton of other things and amazing ideas popping up. I could tell you about Project: Haggis… but I won’t.

Did you know the Eberron Discord server was absorbed by Reidra? We kind of expected this to happen, Imogen being enamored with place and all. Actually, I’m surprised it didn’t happen sooner. Yes… the annual April Fools joke. Last year we teased Project: Pomegranate which turned out to be an actual book, Dread Metrol. Also happens that Keith’s favorite fruit is pomegranates. (No, I have no idea if they exist in Eberron.)

It just occurred to me that the general public might not be familiar with all the characters for Keith’s Patreon game–where the players rotate and play different characters for a session. We’ve shown most of the characters in one context or another, but I just realized there might be a few portraits that no one has ever seen…

Many of the portrait illustrations in the book are by Julio Azevedo. Some of were Patreon characters were conceived of specifically for the Threshold game and some where already created for the book before the Patreon game began. It just so happened that the Patrons selected them… coincidence…? Oh, who is that? Well… just need to guess.

We’re working for a couple new artists on different projects at the moment, so I don’t have anything new to preview or highlight this week. Maybe I’ll ruin something else from Chronicle next week…
